The standard fast food restaurants are in Blue Ridge, but since you’re on a mountain vacation, treat yourself to some fine local grub. It’s important to note that Fannin is a dry county but there are some restaurants that now have their pouring license, but you can purchase beer and wine in the grocery stores or at the famous drive-in beer barn in town.

If you love an Italian deli, then you need to visit Angelina’s for lunch, early dinner, or for take-out. Angelina’s offers some of the most delicious imported gourmet food and deli favorites including sandwiches and salads that will bring you back for more. All the sandwiches and salads are made fresh daily, so stop by for your mountain adventure picnic provisions. You can load up on the scrumptious Boar’s Head deli meats and cheeses, which are available by the pound to satisfy the big group appetites. **I had the Cajun Panini the last time I was there! Absolutely Scrumptious!!!!**

The Blue Ridge Mountain Bar-B-Q offers great southern style hickory-smoked pork, yard bird (chicken for non-southerners), beef and of course, mouth watering ribs! All these delectable meats are smoked slowly to perfection and come with all the fixins like sweet and hot BBQ sauces, Brunswick stew, baked beans, fresh coleslaw, French fry potatoes with the skins on (hey the skins are good for you), fried okra, tasty onion rings, pork rinds with several spice options (Cajun is the best), salads, and a kicking smoked chicken salad that is a must for picnics (they offer free samples that will get you immediately hooked). The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining or you can simply go through the drive-in for fast take-out service. Blue Ridge Mountain BBQ is a great old fashioned southern BBQ experience, so come early and come often. **We ate here on our last visit. My husband had the Smoked Chicken Salad....very good! I had the Hog Heaven BBQ Pork plate....not my most favoritest bbq ever-kinda drier than what I like-but overall, glad we stopped in.**

Danielle’s offers southern cooking with a French flair. Danielle was born in Paris, France but moved to the states over 20 years ago. She loves to cook and is becoming well known for her apple pies, peach pies, chocolate cake, and cheese cake. The deli opens early for breakfast, offers several daily lunch specials, and deli platters to enjoy at home if you’re in a rush. There is plenty of room for 94 folks including a large patio and pets are always welcome. So when you stroll through the charming town of Blue Ridge, make sure to stop by for some great food and bring the dog along for a treat and water to cool off. Plus, they have a wireless internet network. **Nice little place...great for grabbing a bite. The sandwiches are just the right size & very good. A little on the pricey side for lunch but it WAS good! If you're shopping downtown, it's a great place to take a break and people watch!**

So make sure to stop by and get some tasty picnic provisions or some thick cut steaks for an incredible cook-out during your stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains. **Stopped in here & fullfilled my trout fix. Wow...they've got a really good selection of different kinds of meats for those of you looking for something other than the ordinary. And the Kajun Krab Dip was yummo!!! If you don't know how to cook something, they'll be more than happy to help you out in that area too!**

Stop by for your gourmet coffee, smoothies, bagels, and pastries in the morning or enjoy a light lunch. The L&L Beanery is located in vintage bank building from the late 1920’s and has plenty of room to relax inside and outside. Also, the fireplace is a great place to meet friends as you pick out your favorite whole coffee beans from the original Fannin County Bank vault. **Heard this as good, if not better, than Starbucks but didn't get the opportunity to try it first hand. Their gourmet chicken salad on their fresh croissant was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!! Brought some back for my hubby to try!! YUMMY!!!**

One of the friendliest places in town along with great coffee drinks too! Sit out on the deck on Fri & Sat nights and listen to live music....and you can BYOB if you're in the mood for something a tad bit 'stronger' than coffee. Absolutely adorable, great selections. Make sure not to miss it as you drive along Aska Road. They have Wi-Fi too!!

The shiny silver 50’s style diner equipped with red neon signs is home of the quickie country breakfast. The biscuits are enormous, moist and tasty. You can add some awesome country ham or dice it up with a tomato, egg and cheese biscuit special. The diner is across the street from the Swan Drive-In Theater and offers walk-up orders, drive-thru, and some limited outdoor seating. Make sure to come early because the biscuits typically sell out by noon and they’re closed on Sundays so get your fix early in the week.

The Toccoa Riverside Restaurant offers great casual dining along the scenic Toccoa River in the Aska Adventure Area just a few minutes from the town of Blue Ridge. Enjoy several trout grill options, fine steaks, ribs, seafood, wonderful salad bar, and even a nice veggie plate as you overlook the Toccoa River. The staff is friendly, the service is great, you can brown bag your adult beverages (just a $3 corkage fee), so it’s no wonder they’re packed on the weekend. Come early to get a parking space and enjoy a wonderful meal after a hard day of play in the mountains.
