We provide linens, bath towels, pet towels, liquid soaps, hair dryer and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a starter supply of paper products. All you need to bring are your personal items (shampoo, toiletries, etc.) and groceries. If you will be visiting the area lakes and rivers, you may want to bring beach towels (and water shoes!!!)

Unfortunately, no. We tried to do the dial-up but that was VERY unsuccessful and we are 'too secluded' to get DSL/high speed. If you have a wireless card from Verizon, I do know that THAT works up there....if you find that you REALLY need to be connected. There is also a fabulous place a few miles from the cabin called 'The Lilly Pad' that's a quaint little coffee stop that has Wi-Fi.

We have found that Verizon works but does have its moments of no service. The cabin does have local phone service. If you will be making long distnace calls, you may want to bring a pre-paid calling card.

Blue Ridge has two major grocery stores which are approximately 19 miles from the cabin (Food Lion & Ingle's). There is also a small general store approximately 5 1/2 miles...Van Zandt's...that carries basic neccessities.

Ellijay (20 minutes south of Blue Ridge) has a variety of grocery stores as well as a 24 hour Wal-Mart.

Blue Ridge is a dry county but you can purchase beer and wine (Monday - Saturday) at the grocery stores, convenience stores/gas sations and package stores. (Van Zandt's does NOT have beer/wine!)

Ellijay (20 minutes south of Blue Ridge) does provide alcohol in restaurants as well as grocery stores and liquor stores. (Closest liquor store from the cabin is on Maddox Dr....by El Ray's)

The Dragonfly has a total of 2 fireplaces - both gas logs.

PLEASE NOTE: Gas log fireplaces provide loads of heat which are not needed in warmer months.

Personnally, I drive a mini-van and my husband drives a Honda Civic and we are able to get around just fine. Just drop it in to low gear (ah, that's what the '1' is for on the gears! LOL) and drive slow.

An iron and ironing board are both provided for your convienence.

The Dragonfly has a strict "No Smoking" policy for inside the cabin. Smoking on the porch is ok but please be sure to put your butts out in the ashtrays that are provided (under the kitchen sink) and not thrown out in the yard, use the railings to put them out or step on them while on the deck. Common sense & respect! :o)

At this time, we do allow small dogs (under 25 pounds) only and limit to 2. The weight limit is strictly due to the fact that there is pine flooring in The Dragonfly and a heavier dog will scar the floors. We do ask that they are crated when left alone (crate not provided). No matter how good they are at home, accidents DO happen (chewing, soiling)...especially when they're in a new place...which is why we ask that they are crated when you can't be with them. We also ask that you keep them off the furniture.

We try to keep our rates fairly low but when there are more than 4, the extra money goes towards the additional cleaning that is needed, supplies and utilities consumed during your stay.

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. You are welcome to check with us the day before your arrival to see if an early check-in is possible but if the cabin was rented the night before, earlier check-in won't be an option. Check-out time is 11 a.m. to allow housekeeping adequate time to prepare the proerty for the next guest. Guests not leaving by stated check-out time, without permission, will be assessed a rate of $50/hour.
